“The levels of service that we have received from Civica so far are very good including responding to any queries within 15 minutes”.
Dyfed-Powys Police adopts Tranman to streamline fleet management.
Dyfed-Powys Police joins more than 70% of the Police Forces in the UK by becoming the latest to choose Civica’s award winning Tranman Fleet Management System.

Impressed by the capability, track record and user friendliness of Tranman, shown during a comprehensive evaluation, Dyfed-Powys Police has adopted the system and in a rapid programme has implemented the software.

Civica offers a complete range of software to help improve the efficiency of running a fleet operation. Each system has the capability to manage vehicles/plant, drivers, accidents, maintenance, hire and costs of the client’s fleet, each with a different level of functionality to suit fleet types, sizes and budgets.

The operational requirements of police fleets require a service scheduling system that can be specifically tailored for their needs. The Tranman software employed by Dyfed-Powys Police ensures that the vehicles, many of which can travel great distances, do not miss any scheduled services. Although the system has been optimized to cope with general high mileage it also allows for adjustments to be made if there is a sudden reduction in travelling due to operational role changes.

Dyfed-Powys Police anticipates that the benefits of using the Tranman software with its 329 cars, 18 motorcycles, 140 light commercial vehicles plus 27 various trailers will result in effective time management, report generation and overall optimisation of its fleet management.

Tranman software enables Police Fleet Managers to extract information at the touch of a button for their NAPFM (National Association of Police Fleet Managers) benchmarking project. Data comparison on a national level with other forces provides information on the servicing and running costs of vehicles and vehicle availability.  This process ensures that the best practices of individual forces can be adopted nationwide, thus effectively meeting front line operational requirements in the most efficient manner.

With its fleet of 487 vehicles to maintain, Dyfed-Powys Police required software that was capable of managing a multitude of applications. It is
currently utilising the Fleet, Stores, Accidents, Jobs, Fuel, Orders, Short Term Hire, Scheduling and Budget Accounting modules and will be introducing web portals within the next  few months.

Civica’s web portal solutions help improve communications with drivers or fleet service users while saving time for administration teams. Officers can update mileage, check vehicle information, log defects or report accidents, supported by SMS messages.

Civica is one of the U.K.’s most experienced providers of consulting, software and managed services, with particular focus on enhancing service delivery.
